"Former president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama revealed the conceptual designs of the eagerly awaited Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s historic Jackson Park Wednesday while speaking about the project at the South Shore Cultural Center in Chicago, Illinois." Says yahoo news. "“Although we had a formal bidding process to determine where the presidential library was going to be, the fact of the matter was it had to be right here on the South Side of Chicago,” Obama said during the unveiling of the plans in Chicago" Said yahoo news. So obama our former president finaly decided where he is going to build his preidential center, which i think is awsome! It's great to know that our presadent really cares!

At the beginning of this week we watched a video called "Everything that is wrong with our school system, and after we watched it, we had a debate about it, and here are some of the things we talked about....We make students of all different abilities take the same tests. Students are learning things that will never ever help them in life. We need to be learning things like how to file taxes, and how to pay a morgue. We are setting kids up to work in factories, and not do what they want to do. personally i think that we need more arts in the school systems, because most schools are focused of sports, and there are very few schools out there that have the main focus of the arts. If i could change the school system i would make sure that kids could do want they want to do, and learn things that would actually help them in there adult lives...but I'm just a kid so what do i know.... I can do what i can to change it, but nothing else
"The newlyweds, Jessica and Tyler Brown, surprised Jessica Brown’s grandmother, Margaret Harris, at a Jacksonville-area hospital around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night." Said Yahoo news. So apparently the brides sister told her that it would make her grandma's day if she went to see her on her wedding day, so the bride took it to the next level and went to see her grandma in her wedding dress. When they showed up at the hospital at 10:30 PM both the bride and groom where both still in full wedding attire. "Harris, 70, suffered a heart attack on Friday night. For Brown, whom Harris helped raise, not having her grandmother by her side at her wedding was 'probably one of the hardest things I've had to do.' 'It was the equivalent of not having a parent there,' Brown told ABC News by email. 'This woman helped raise me and become who I am . She's been there for everything.'" was another thing written by yahoo news. I cant imagine what it is like to go to your wedding, and not have a parent (or some one very close to you) there. One day when i hope to get married, i cant even think about not having both of my parents, and my brother there....some days i don't know how my mom got threw her wedding without her father....But some people are stronger then others....
This week in school we learned about irregular verbs. Some of the verbs really confused me at first but I eventually got the concept, after i had someone explain me a different way. We were given an assignment to write 20 different words that are irregular verbs, and that was pretty easy, I finished it in about 10 min. As I am writing this, we only have a few weeks left of school. I'm Really ready for school to end, but I NOT ready for finals. Any ways I am getting off topic. Back to irregular verbs the rule is to all verbs, whether regular or irregular, have five forms These forms are the infinitive, simple present, simple past, past participle, and present participle. The difference between a regular and an irregular verb is the formation of the simple past and past participle. Regular verbs are dependably consistent—the simple past ends in ed as does the past participle. And thats what Irregular verbs are. With that concludes what i leaned this week in school!
This week in english class we learned about "Blah" words, which are common words that have munch better synonyms. Here, let me give you an example... Instead of using the word "Get" we could be using words like "Obtain, Attain, Receive, possess, achieve, or even accomplish." But instead we still just use the work get. I think that if we really just start thinking more about the sentence we are going to say, before we say it, we could be using bigger, more intelligent, words. Yes some of these words are hard, and yes, it will take a while for people to realize what we are starting to do. But i believe that if we try hard to make this change happen. We could be having much more intelligent conversations. So next time, before you say "Hey! That was great" or "I will make it" take a second and think, because instead you could say "Hey! That was fantastic!" and "I will Construct it"
Pronouns....AAAAAAHHHHHHH.....Okay, so this week we learned about all the "magical" things that are pronouns...Let me give you some advice...If you don't have to learn pronouns...DON'T.... I'm telling you this because pronouns, are FREAKING HARD. When i learned them it wasn't that bad, it just took 80 years to memorize everything, and even after that i still felt like i was going to fail. When i took the test, the questions where so wired, and every once and a while the question would be very open ended, which drove me crazy!!! So i thought Maybe it was just me. Maybe i was the only one that hated the pronouns, so i asked some of my friends, and you know what they told me.....PRONOUNS ARE FREAKING HARD...... They had no difference in opinion what so over. They completely agreed with me...Let me give you this though...I might think that pronouns are hard, but you might find them extremely easy. If you parents and teachers want you to learn them, then go for it! You might be the best at it! But if you hate them, and you don't have to learn them...Don't...just don't
Children of the world, let me give you some pretty good, maybe even great advice….If you are not required to learn pronouns…DON”T FORCE YOUR SELF OT LEARN THEM…unless you want to... "During his inauguration, Donald Trump painted a bleak picture of life in America and said the buck stops with him."The time for empty talk is over," he told the crowd assembled at the Capitol. 'Now arrives the hour of action.' In the days since taking office, Trump, who has long cast himself a doer in a world of talkers, has been furiously issuing what he calls orders and what are formally known as executive orders and presidential memorandums. Through Wednesday, he issued four executive orders and eight presidential memorandums. Many appear to be aimed at fulfilling his campaign promises — building the wall, punishing sanctuary cities, stopping illegal immigration, bringing back jobs and establishing energy independence." Says yahoo news. From me reading this news report it seems that Trump is going to treat America like a business, and note a country. Some people think that this will be better for America, because at it's core America is more like a business, then a country. In my opinion i think that Trump is a way better business man then he is a politician, and i have some friends that believe that too. If you where to ask me a month or two ago about how i thought trump would run America, I would have probable told you that he is going to run this country in to the ground. If you where to ask me today about how i thought trump would run America, i would most likely tell you that he might be a good president, or at least a better president then anyone thought he would be.
This week at SJE, was catholic schools week. What that means is that there are a bunch of events that have a lot to do with the students, such as, the glow-buddy lunch, the staff vs. 8th grade volley ball game, and a few more things. One of the events i didn't mention was "grandparents day." Grandparents day is on the Thursday of catholic schools week. It has been on a Thursday every year, since i have been at SJE. During the time when my Grandparents came to my class room, i got to ask them some questions, and i got to learn a lot about them. some thing i learned was that together they have lived in some where around 10 houses give or take. Another thin i learned was that both of my grandparent have been to all of the Continence....i mean who can say that!

This past Wednesday my class went to the California Science Center, and we got to see the ever so famous "Endeavor." It was so big, that i could barely fit the hole ship in the picture! Other then the "Endeavor" we got to see, and build a ton of other things too! We got to build roller coasters on walls! We also got to explore the hole science center, and look parts of the "Endeavor," such as the engine, the seats, and other awesome parts of the ship! I even got to touch the wheels! I think my favorite part of the entire trip was when we did the “Endeavor space ship simulator." This was my favorite, not because of the actual ride, but the people who were in it with me. There was 8 people in the simulator including me. The 8 people were Ashley W., Pauline M., Clarissa B., Sam A., Sean A., Nathen H., Antonio G., And Myself. I had a blast, we were all talking, and screaming and most likely making everyone out side of the simulator wonder "Man It must be really scary." But the funnest thing was that we weren't sure if anyone could here us, so when we got out of the simulator we asked if they could hear us, and Our chaperone said "Loud and clear!" then we all started to laugh! After the ride, it was sadly time to go back to the bus. In my personal opinion, I could not have picked a better way to end the day!
