Run Away Zebra!
Hello, today I sat down with 12 year old Nick Ammons, The boy who caught the amazing cell phone video of a zebra walking down the street. So i asked him “What where you doing the you first saw the zebra?” He told me that he was easing dishes at the 7th street diner when he saw the zebra watching back and forth, running, then walking. So Nick told me “So i pulled out my cell phone and started recording, and later that night i when over to my friend Jeremy’s house and he told me to put it on YouTube, so i did, and here i am know”
“I’m Here with George Dowling, the keeper of the Zebra. Mr.Dowling how did the zebra escape from you yard” She told me that “I came out to feed Zigzag. I though I latched the gate, but when i bent over to pour the food, i heard a loud bang, and saw the zebra run out. More trouble then he’s worth.” so i told her “Did you know, sir, that it’s illegal in the state of florida to keep a zebra as a pet?” and he just gave me a jumbled answer. When i tried to ask Mr.Dowling more Questions, he just yelled “No more questions! Get the heck off my property! Get off! This is a private property!” and that was the end of that conversation.
To day I sat down with the woman that hit the zebra with her car. She told me that when she hit “Zigzag” with her car she was shocked, she told me at first she wasn't sure that she hit, and she just wanted to make she what ever she hit was ok. She told me she was a bit shaken up after the crash. She told me when she first looked at the zebra she wasn't sure what kind of condition the zebra was in, so she called 911 and the operator just laughed at her! I apologized for everything, And went on my way.
So my last interview was with Dr. Mark Hardt, he was the doctor that treated “ZigZag” he told me that he is more of a dog/cat person and that he doesn't usually treat animals like zebras. He told me that from what he could tell “ZigZag” was going to be just fine, and was going to be transported to a local zoo. And thats all about “ZigZag” the runaway zebra
